Booking Tips
- Book 7–15 days in advance during peak season (Dec–Feb). Same-day bookings often sell out.
- Reach the jetty 60 minutes before departure — security check is thorough
- Carry a physical ID (Aadhaar/Passport) — digital copies are not accepted for boarding
- Foreign nationals must show their RAP (Restricted Area Permit)
Government Ferries
There's also a cheaper government ferry (₹300–500) but timings are unreliable and often cancelled. Not recommended unless you have flexible plans.
What About Seasickness?
Take a mild motion-sickness tablet (Avomine or Dramamine) 30 minutes before boarding. Sit in the middle rows of the lower deck — least motion. Avoid heavy meals right before the ride.
